Major Christopher Williams from the Rappahannock Sheriff"s Office reported that this past week there were a number of traffic accidents. There were three accidents involving deer (no human injuries, but substantial injuries to the deer and automobiles) and a motorcycle accident going over the mountain to Luray required a wrecker but not an ambulance.
State Troopers helped out with two traffic accidents. Trooper Don Corbin's investigation was the less serious of the two accidents. It occurred in Woodville on Aug. 13. There were no known injuries according to the report.
Trooper Brad Morris was called to the scene of a two-car accident in Sperryville near Piney Rim Lane on Aug. 17 Two were transported to Fauquier Hospital.
There were a number of reckless driving calls. One of them cited large trucks going at high rates of speed on Main Street in Sperryville.
