The Mayor said, at that time, that he expected that the closing costs on the RNB loan would make it more costly than a Carrigan estate loan, but he was granted authority by the Council to negotiate most favorable terms from either and he must have succeeded in so doing with the Bank.
Mayor Willis also noted that 1 the Council was “looking at the issue of subdividing the property into two nine-and-a-half acre < lots” and he received Council 1 okay for the administrative abandonment of a non-conforming structure on one of the two i proposed parcels. Recent “closed session” discussions on Avon < Hall by the Board of ' Supervisors would indicate that ( the County is the prospective i purchaser of the parcel on which 1 Avon Hall is situated. No plans have been publicly provided on such a purchase however, either by the Tbwn Council or by the Board of Supervisors, but it is < likely that a hearing would be 1 conducted in the near-term by 1 the Board of Supervisors if the i County is indeed considering t some involvement. “
