Sitting for peace,
community invited
There will be a gathering at the Washington Town Hall to sit in silence for peace on Thursday, Aug. 22 between 7 and 10 p.m. sponsored by the Rappahannock Peace Network.
Anyone is welcome to join the group for anytime period you so desire. Bring a candle if you want to light it with the world peace flame and a pillow if you like to sit on the floor. For more information call Berni at 987-9158.
Cub Scouting to
begin new year
With the start of school comes a new year for Cub Scouting. Oh Sept. 5 starting at 7 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Elementary School, Cub Scout Pack 123 will begin registration of returning and new scouts for its 2002-2003 season.
All parents with boys in first through fifth grades are invited to learn more about the scouting program, meet the den leaders, see displays of projects and activities and imagine your son in uniform.
