a five member Board and thus enhance the chances of meeting quorums. The two vacancies are due to the resignation of Tanya Richie on July 11 and to Claudia Mitchell’s election to the Tbwn Council.
The Mayor nominated Charlie Kevis to fill Ms. Richie’s seat but, before the nomination was acted upon, Councilman Reinhardt Lynch asked for “input from the audience.” Patrick Corbett, the new host of the Foster-Harris House, said that he would “like to get involved,” and offered his services to the Tbwn as a member of the ARB. He was nominated by Mr. Lynch, but the Council voted 4-to-3 to seat Mr. Kevis.
Mayor Willis then nominated former Council member Alice King to the Planning Commission to fill the seat vacated by Jeff Benson. Ray Gooch offered himself as a nominee for that position as well, but the Council voted 4-to-3 for Alice King.

Mr. Lynch opened the public :omments session by asking hat the “Letter to the Editor” of he Rappahannock News,” subnitted by Paul Hagstrom for he paper’s July 31 issue, be read into or attached to the ninutes” of the Aug. 14 meetng.
