Jan. 12: RAAC Library Series to

feature Lucile Miller

On Friday January 12 at 8 p.m., the Rappahannock Association for Arts and the Community (RAAC) welcomes artist and environmental activist Lucile Miller to speak as part of RAAC’s Friday at the Library series. The event is free and open to the public. It is held at the Rappahannock Count Public Library.

Jan 12: Benefit auction

for Debbie Wines

There will be an auction to help raise money for Debbie Wines from Chester Gap who has AML - a form of leukemia at the Washington Fire Department on Jan. 12 at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be for sale. Large and small items will be on sale; canned food too. Bobby Timbers will be the auctioneer for the benefit. For information or pick-up of items call Roger Rutherford at 540-987-8170.

Jan. 13: Mountain music benefit

The band Chesham Creek will perform at the Washington fire hall in a benefit for Cory Keeley. Five-year-old Cory suffers from Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL). The band, famed for its mountain mijsic, will play from 7 to 10 p.m. There will be a minimum $10 donation at the door. Please join, have fun, and help the family with the medical costs.
