School administrator Elaine Glier sent a letter to McCarthy on Wednesday, saying “that if zoning approval is granted for our school, we will do everything in our power to be great neighbors. After all, the most important work we do at Mountain Laurel is to teach children how to live in community.”
McCarthy has recommended that the planning commission approve the school’s permit, saying the facility and location are appropriate for an educational institution.
The public is welcome at the planning commission’s meeting, which is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Rappahannock County Courthouse.
