Wakefield varsity girls and boys basketball teams returned from their Christmas break; with two wins against Massanutten Military Academy last Thursday. The girls team posted a 60-18 win over the; Colonels behind 37 points from! Chantel Paul.

The varsity boys team won with a score 43-41. Patrick Dale led the team in points, scoring 29 during the game.

On Monday night, the girl’s basketball team soundly defeated Mountain Vievtr Christian Academy with a score of 50-29. Chantel Paul scored 23 points while Kathrine Russo scored a career high of 18 points. The girls record currently stands at 4-6.

The boys team also won against Mountain View, with a score of 68-48. Their record stands at 7-3. Dale scored an impressive 34 points and Andrew Smith scored 12. Dale and his teammate Ben Luke had 12 rebounds each.
