Position with Loudoun County's Dept of MH/MR. Position represents the Department to the public through community education presentations and coordinating three disability awareness campaigns per year. Will also provide staff support to the Community Services Board (CSB), Community Relations Task Group and Local Human Rights Committee as well as receive and assist in the investigation and resolution of consumer human rights complaints. Duties include providing consumers, consumer families, and other service providers with information on community services and resources supporting the three disability areas; coordinating the development and revision of Department web pages; and the reviewing, preparing, editing, and publishing of informational CSB literature, press releases and CSB s internal newsletter. Bachelor's degree in Education or Social Work or related field and two years of related experience working with the general public and professional service providers. Master s degree preferred.
