sport in the 6th grade. When you have players playing a sport, any sport, for the first time when they are 11 or 12 years old they are not going to be successful. Many of the teams at our school that have had success, have players that started in their respective sport at a young age. Baseball, soccer and softball all have programs privately run and funded in this county that start at age 4 and 5. If you look at the trophy case in the gym you will see recent trophies for these sports.
