The Blue Chorale of Culpeper is currently seeking new members beginning Jan. 15 to join for the Spring event, “The Jamestown Concert.” We will be celebrating Virginia’s 400th birthday through music and narration. If you are a singer 15 or older and are interested in participating in this historic event call Margie at 540-825-1416. Singers ages 5 to 14 call Kathy at 540-829-8798. Rehearsals are Monday nights at 6:15 to 8:30 p. m. at the St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Culpeper. Baby sitter available for a small fee.

Jan 18: Relay for Life plans
The kickoff meeting for all team captains of the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life is Thursday, January 18 at 7 p.m. at the Washington Baptist Church. Anyone thinking about participating as a team captain in the relay is invited as well. If you can’t come, send one of your friends or relatives to learn how to become a team captain. The relay will take place on May 19 and 20 at the Rappahannock County Elementary School. The overall plans and preparations for the upcoming Relay will be discussed at the meeting. Team packages and information to help your team get started will be available. Refreshments will be served and door prizes will be awarded.
