It should.
While considered a supreme act of volunteerism to willingly give of yourself on any of the county’s numerous boards, the school board is one where it’s often a no win chair to sit in. And it’s beyond volunteering. While receiving a modest amount, it certainly doesn’t equate to anything near worth the amount (<f time thfey spend attending to the county’s school issues. They’re at it way more than once a month.
Parents want more for their children as they should.
Board members are tasked with providing a “second to none” place to be educated at often less than desirable dollar amounts.
It’s a tough business to be in and the men and women who take it on are to be commended and should be compensated more for their efforts.
Let’s hope that as Mills passes the baton to Ken Marlor that county residents will rally and support Jiving them a bit more for their tireless efforts.
Keep in mind that whatever actions are taken now won't put any money into Mills’ pockets. He’s thinking about those who will carry on.
