In 2006, the VMDAEC Education Foundation awarded 38 scholarships to students living in Virginia, Maryland and Delaware. Since its inception in 2000, 134 students have received VMDAEC scholarships. The total number of scholarships awarded each year depends on the amount of funds available.
The Virginia, Maryland & Delaware Association of Electric Cooperatives was founded in 1944 and provides training, communications, governmental relations and other services to Rappahannock Electric Cooperative and the 15 other electric cooperatives that serve the three-state Mid-Atlantic region.
