On Sunday afternoon, about 75 Amissville residents met with Washington, D. C-, environmental attorney Leonard Miller. The residents, who are concerned abotft * the possibility of a landfill being located on the Stover property on Rt. 639 east of the village, consulted Mr. Miller about the prospect of retaining him to represent them in their opposition to the county’s plan.
In a telephone interview from his Washington office Tuesday evening, Mr. Miller told the Rappahannock News that he and two assistants spent about two hours walking the Stover property before meeting with the citizens. Lynn Monk, an attorney with Mr. Miller’s firm, Swindler and Berlin, and Dan Prater, an assistant on community and congressional fact-based issues, assisted him with the assessment.
Although he noted that “obviously on a quick visit it is difficult to make lasting observations,” Mr. Miller said
