ARB io meet

Birthday celebration
A special birthday celebration honoring Mrs. Alice Porter of Washington will be held at Promise Land Baptist Church on Saturday, May 23, at 7 p.m. Various gospel groups will be featured. The public is invited.
Little Miss Carnival Queen
contestants needed
Girls between the ages of 6 and 11 years old who live in Rappahannock or surrounding counties may compete for the Little Miss Carnival Queen of Chester Gap. Anyone interested may contact Karen Williams at 635-4673. Carnival dates are July 22-25.
New Rappahannock Views
A one-woman show of photographs and montages by Clyde Lee will open Saturday, June 6, from 6 until 9 p.m. at Middle Street Gallery in Washington. The exhibition includes imaginative use of scale, mystical imagery and collage based on “New Rappahannock Views.” The show will run through June.
Currently on view through the end of May at Middle Street is “Dimensions” - a show of sculpture, pottery and collage; black and white photographs by Edik Gladkov of the Soviet Union, and “Origins and Excavation I,” a community mural project carried out by the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community. Spring Concert at RCHS
The RCHS Band and Chorus will perform their spring concert at the high school Thursday, May 21, at 7:30 p.m. Music from the ’60s and fun music from other decades will be performed. Admission is free.
