children’s programs and evening programs are just a few of the opportunities. From June through September, eagle tours are offered daily at Caledon Natural Area in King George County, allowing a limited number of participants the opportunity to view an American Bald Eagle in the wild. Savings with seasonal passes

Many visitors to Virginia state parks come back again and again, and for them a seasonal pass can represent both a considerable financial saving and an incentive to enjoy the parks frequently. It’s a particularly good value for residents in areas near a park. With the pass, the more you use it, the more you save.

The Off-Season Family Camping Pass offers, for $25, unlimited camping during the less-crowded spring and fall camping seasons. The pass is good at all state parks with camp sites except Seashore State Park in Virginia Beach. A 14-day limit per visit is still enforced.

The $15 annual parking pass is good for unlimited visits to all state parks, around the bend or across the state. These permits can be purchased for cars, trucks, vans, motorcycles and other motorized road vehicles.
