Mrs. Jeanne Finke left Tuesday to return to her home in Ft. Laureldale, Fla. after spending two weeks here with her daughter Mrs. Lorainne Robson at Meadowood. Mrs. Robson and her mother visited in Frederick, Md. over the weekend.
Mrs. Gail Filyo of Rockville, Md. spent the recent weekend here with her parents Mr. and Mrs, Charlie Wood at Dun-Lookin.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Thornhill of Vienna spent the weekend here at Grayson Hill and Sunday were dinner guests of Mrs. Cary Thornhill. Mrs. Thornhill’s daughter Mrs. Harry Morrison entered Winchester Memorial Hospital for surgery on Tuesday and our prayers are with her.
Mr. and Mrs. George Wharton, Sarah and Stephen of Boston-Reva route were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Frazier at Jeffersonton.
Miss Penny Peyton granddaughter of Mrs. W. S. Peyton has been tapped into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at Germanna Community College in ceremonies held on Friday evening, May 15th. She is majoring in police science and students must attain straight A record. Penny is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Peyton who attended the ceremonies and reception following.
Salem Garden Club met on Saturday with Ms. Mary Griffith. The program which was on flower arrangements was conducted by Forget-Me-Not Florists.
Condolences to Mrs. Marlene Ware and family on the loss of her sister Teresa Washburn of BostonReva route who passed away last week.
Mrs. Oscar Jenkins, a former resident, is a patient in Culpeper Memorial Hospital and was visited on Monday by Mrs. Arlene Cave and Tonya.
Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Fincham and Peggy and Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Cave and Tonya were guests Sunday of Mr. E. A. Cave and family in Stanley.
Mr. and Mrs. David Sisk and son Nathan were guests last Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Hickerson in Flint Hill. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sisk of Orange also visited the Hickersons and enroute home were guests of Mrs. Early Sisk in Sperryville.
