(HOURLY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR A)
The Virginia Department of Transportation is accepting applications for temporary seasonal hourly equipment operators, effective on or after June 1, 1987, for' assignment to Maintenance work, at the Warrenton Residency. These positions will terminate on or before September 30,1987.
Applications are available at the Warrenton Residency Office, located at Warrenton, Va., or at any Virginia Employment Commission. Completed applications must be submitted to the Warrenton Residency Office before 500 P.M., Friday, May 29,1987.
DUTIES: Physically demanding work in highway maintenance, road patching, mowing, erecting signs, bridge repair, and other general maintenance duties. Operates light-duty highway equipment, trucks, tractor mowers, rollers, etc. May be trained to perform field density tests on bituminous concrete overlays.
QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Virginia Operator’s license and the ability to operate 3-ton dump truck and other light-duty highway equipment Must be physically able to perform heavy manual labor.
SALARY: $5.64 hourly
