Mr. Chase, 50, owns and operates Mountain View Farm, in the Stevensburg District. He and his wife Judy have four children: 11year old Kerr; Bo, a student at East Carolina University; Jane, attending Dickinson School of Law in Carlisle, Pa.; and Elizabeth, studying at Germanna Community College.
Mr. Chase told the convention, in his acceptance speech, that he is totally committed to the race against Sen. Miller for the 26th District Senate seat. “I do promise you that after talking with you people here, I do not want to get into this race to get my name on the ballot. The only way I will run is as a viable candidate ... With your help, I promise I’m going to run a strong race.”
