A public hearing on the budget

for Rappahannock County for the fiscal year 19721973 will take place Thursday, June 1, in conjunction with the regular June meeting of the Board of Supervisors. The budget which totals $1,117,740 is an increase from a year ago of more than $86,000; however, the levy of $4.10 per $100 valuation was

1 maintained. A carryover of $68,730 made it possible to hold the line. As usual, education is the major item in the budget, with the tota^ funds allocated for schools standing at $794,435.
