People everywhere often talk about “change.” Change affects everybody. People who were born and raised in Rappahannock County, as I was, might reflect on what changes have taken place. Rappahannock heritage has a lot to be proud of. Living and working here in Rappahannock County during the 40s, 60s, 60s, 70s and 80s has been a real joy to many of us.
Outsiders continue to move to Rappahannock County, many bringing change and many blending in. Some new residents are well liked, decent members of the community, while some others come in here and try to tell us how to run things. Some have good ideas and some exploit our county ways.
Many “county people” like myself, a farmer, don’t bother anybody, yet don’t have time to take an active role in county politics. An expansive article was placed in the paper about me last week. People who like me know the truth about me and those who don’t no
