Each year, thousands of campers spend time in one of the 17 state parks with campgrounds. Most offer shaded sites with bathhouse facilities, including hot showers, nearby. Walk-in primitive sites are available near the Appalachian Trail at Sky Meadows and at False Cape State Park, one of the East Coast’s only undisturbed beach and dune areas.
And in eight parks from the mountains to the shore, visitors can spend the night in comfort in newly renovated vacation cabins. These cabins feature kitchenettes fully equipped with utensils, modem bathrooms with towels, fireplaces, upholstered furniture, linens and peace and quiet in natural surroundings.
Reservations for all overnight ac- * commodations, with the exception of walk-in primitive sites and overnight cabins at Westmoreland, can be made through Ticketron terminals at most Virignia state parks and at Ticketron locations nationwide. Camp sites can be reserved 90 days
