Peter Skowronski added that he would like to see the project priced out street-by-street, so that it could be done in sections.
There is an economy of scale, the mayor observed, by doing it all at one time. “But that depends on the availability of financing. It would be premature to phase the project now; we can divide it later if necessary.”
Mr. Wickens moved that the council approve the project being sent to design specs, “without a specific dollar cap, but not unreasonable.”
