Howard (Howdy) Holschuh is running unopposed as Rappahannock County’s representative to Virginia’s Silver-Haired Legislature, slated to meet August 3 through 5 in Richmond. This year’s session will observe both the 200th anniversary of the signing of the Constitution and the first Virginia House of Burgesses.
Mr. Holschuh, who retired from the Navy to Rappahannock County 15 years ago, is an active volunteer with Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Center. He has served as a member of the organization’s board of directors, and has been the volunteer editor of The Voice of Experience, its bi-monthly newsletter, for six years. He also serves as a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP).
In addition, Mr. Holschuh is an active member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, serving as Trustee, Deacon, Treasurer and Sunday School teacher.
