As Martin and Cheri Woodard reflected on the ten years since they opened Faith Mountain, the changes they’ve seen mounted.
The original idea when they bought the old house on Main Street in Sperryville, Cheri explained, was that it was large enough to live in the back and have a small shop in the front. Their son Adam was about five at the time, and Cheri was looking for a business which would allow her to stay at home with him.
Now, their mail order catalog business allows everyone else to stay at home and shop, but the business has grown so big that they no longer live in the back of their store.

Ordering from the catalog, he said, “you can accessorize your entire house, your garden, and your body.”
Cheri said that when she thinks back to that first year, “it was pretty small. All total we had maybe 10 fiats of herbs, about 500 plants. Now we have almost that many varieties.”
In addition to the herbs, Martin said, Faith Mountain also stocks
