Mayor Morehouse suggested that the town attempt to reach a negotiated price for the project with Greely and Hansen Engineering, who he said were highly recommended by Mr. Fisher. “They want to get into small towns, and they’d like to use us as their guinea pigs.”
He estimated that the two weeks of engineering work which he thought would be necessary would cost in the neighborhood of $5,000. “I would like to do it cheaper - if you want to put it out to competitive bidding,” the mayor said, asking the members of council for input.
