Woman’s Club to meet
The Rappahannock Woman’s Club will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 8 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Debbie Massie on Rt. 729. All members are urged to attend.
Shooting match at Castleton
A shooting match sponsored by the Castleton Fire Department will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, beginning at 1 p.m. Prizes include turkey, oysters, hams and beef. For additional information call 937-4065.
2nd All Hallows Eve art carnival
There will be trick or treat surprises, a community potluck supper and a circle for creative sharing with “open mike” Halloween night, Saturday, Oct. 31, beginning at 6 o’clock at the Middle Street Gallery. Everyone is invited. A donation of $1 is requested (more if you can, less if you can’t). Kids are admitted free.
The circle for creative sharing could begin at 7:30 p.m. It will take place in the ceremonial atmosphere created by the art work of the “Symbolism and Ritual” show now on exhibit at the Middle St. Gallery. This show includes original African art as well as the work of local artists. Anyone who would like to share poetry, stories, songs, music, Halloween or other rituals, dance, etc. is invited to do so.
