Arts panel sets

The Virginia Commission for the Arts announces the fall 1987 advisory panel riieeting fo‘r' Area IV will be held Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Tacketts Mill Specialty Mall, Lake Ridge Subdivision, Woodbridge.

The panel will discuss grant applications received from arts groups in the area for fiscal year 1988-89. Area IV includes Rappahannock, Caroline, Clarke, Culpeper, Fairfax, Fauquier, Frederick, King George,

Loudoun, Madison, Orange, Page, Prince William, Shenandoah, Spotsylvania, Stafford and Warren counties, and the cities of Alexandria and Arlington.

The Virginia Commission for the Arts is the state agency that promotes the arts with funding from the General Assembly and the National Endowment for the Arts. The agency distributes $3 million in grants to artists and arts organizations annually, and provides technical assistance in arts management.
