Hospice offers
living will
The Hospice of the Rapidan and Rappahannock Legal Services, with the support of the United Way, are cooperating to make copies of the Living Will available to the public without a charge.
A Living Will states that the person signing it wants life-prolonging medical treatment or procedures withheld or withdrawn if he or she is in danger of death because of an incurable disease, injury, or other cause, and if no recovery can be expected. The declaration becomes effective when a qualified physician determines that use of life-sustaining measures would only lengthen the dying process.
