Arthritis forum at CMH

The Arthritis Foundation will sponsor a free presentation to help victims of arthritis and their families cope with the disease.

The program will be held Oct. 29 at 7:30 p.m. in the dining room of the Culpeper Memorial Hospital. The discussion will be led by Dr. Jack Perlmutter, Culpeper orthopedic surgeon, Susan Vignola, Culpeper clinical social worker, and Dr. Greg Pudhorodsky, rheumatologist.

Arthritis is one of the most prevalent diseases in America, and chances that a person will get it increase with age, the Arthritis Foundation said.

Culpeper Baptist bazaar

Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community will hold its Christmas bazaar Saturday, Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The facility is located on Route 15 south of Culpeper. Some of the handmade crafts to be sold include Christmas decorations, wreaths, afghans, dolls, bird houses, ceramics, woodwork, baked goods and more. There will also be a white elephant sale. The bazaar offers a great opportunity to begin your Christmas shopping. Santa Claus will be stopping by from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
