“If the county is going to build, where are we going to build?” asked Supervisor Newbill Miller. “Where is a lot the county owns that we can put this building on?” The open land in the courthouse complex is already being used as septic drainfields for existing offices, he said. Eugene Full, the Health Department’s regional administrative manager, raised the possibility of putting the prefabricated building on school property.
“If it was any place but behind the bus shop, it would infringe upon the athletic fields,” Supervisor Nelson Lane countered.
