Sen. Kevin G. Miller (R-26) proudly wears his conservative credentials on his sleeve.

“Conservative,” said the senator, who faces an agressive challenger in William C. Chase, a Democrat and chairman of the Culpeper County Board of Supervisors. “That’s what other people call me.”

The first-term incumbent state senator notes his ranking by the Virginia Conservative Education and Research Institute, which monitors voting records on a score of key bills and iasuegfto prove his point.

“Every year, they’ve put me as the most conservative or the next most conservative (behind Senator Onico Barker of Danville).”
