Sen. Miller volunteers that the most important bill in his package, a proposal to tie capital gains tax to inflation, faded to make it into law, however.
“I had more favorable comments, even from Democrats who wanted to support it but didn’t because Gov. Baliles didn’t want it in his tax bill,” said Sen. Miller, blaming the defeat of his indexing bill on partisan politics.
