In addition to its offer to provide radios, the PTA also relayed a request to the School Board for (1) publication of the agenda for monthly board meetings in the Rappahannock News and (2) time alloted in the agenda for public input on issues being considered BE, FORE decisions are made.
“I have no problem at all with publication of the agenda,” Dr. Gangel said, adding, however, that any agenda published a week prior to the monthly board meeting would be a draft and therefore subject to change.
Mrs. Massie noted that the School Board’s policy manual specifies that anyone wishing to speak should contact the superintendent a week prior to a board meeting in order
to be included on the agenda. “We always try to give an opportunity to anyone with a particular interest or concern to share those with the board.” In addition, she pointed out that time is given at the end of the board meetings for question and
