Shirley Jenkins
Shirley Mae (Flossie) Jenkins, widow of Charles Edward Jenkins, died Oct. 18 at her home at Gordonsville.
A native of Rappahannock County, she was the daughter of the late Jesse James and Daisy Mae Jenkins. She was a fountain manager for Drug Fair for a number of years.
She is survived by a son Richard L. Jenkins and a daughter Tracy L. Jenkins of Gordonsville, three sisters, Annie Haynes of Gordonsville, Margaret Nichols of Culpeper and Elizabeth Jenkins of Woodville, and two brothers, James L. Jenkins of Centreville and Jesse Jenkins of Culpeper.
A funeral service was. conducted Oct. 21 at the Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper by Rev. Roger Bevins. Interment was at the Sperryville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Robert Hanson, Randy Bevins, Robert Sisk, Otis Backe, Jerry Jenkins, Thomas Jenkins, Jimmie Jenkins and Timmy Jenkins.
E. Catherine Burton
Erma Catherine Burton, 48, oi Stanley died Oct. 7 at Page Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Burton was born July 8, 1939, in Page'County, a daughter ol Raymond and Bessie Thomas Jenkins of Stanley.
On April 7, 1958, she marriec Matthew I. Burton, who survives.
Besides her parents and hua band, she is survived by a son Clin ton M. Burton, a daughter Regins L. Burton, three brothers, Harold Morris and Larry Jenkins, four sis ters, Florine J. Cave, Edna Estelh Hilliard, Hazel M. Reed and Iva M Richards, all of Stanley, and thre< grandchildren.
