Bertha Westmoreland
Bertha Catherine Westmoreland, 82, of Culpeper, died Oct. 18 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Westmoreland was the daughter of the late James Wesley and Elizabeth Deal Jenkins and the wife of the late James Bradley Westmoreland. A native of Rappahannock County, she had lived in Culpeper for many years.
She is survived by a step-daughter Barbara Rankin of Florida, two sisters, Janie J. Tuel of Charlottesville and Lena J. Elliott of Culpeper, a brother Clyde P. Jenkins of Lake of the Woods, and two step-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Oct. 20 by Rev. John S. Farrar at the Clore Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery.
John W. Jenkins
John William Jenkins, 66, of Midland, died Oct. 17 at the Culpeper Health Care Center.
Mr. Jenkins is survived by his wife Hattie Louise Jenkins, three daughters, Elaine Foster, Dale ' City, Kim Johnson and Amy Jenkins, Midland, and eight sons, John Jenkins, Manassas, Gary Jenkins, Jeffersonton, Carson Jenkins, Fairfax, Glen Jenkins, with the Air Force in Japan, Ronald, Jerry, Ricky and Jay Jenkins, Midland.
He also leaves four brothers, William Jenkins, Amissville, Sandy Jenkins, Jeffersonton, James and Robert Jenkins, Midland, a sister Rita Woodson, Calverton, and 14 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Moser Funeral Home. Funeral serv
