On Halloween night, the burglars again struck in the town of Flint Hill. Aunt Jane’s Alterations was broken into and a small amount of coin was taken, Capt. Streapy said.
Also that night, the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Company was broken into by someone who forced a basement door at the side of the building. Once inside, the thieves used a forcible entry tool removed from one of the volunteers’ fire trucks to break into a soda machine and stole the coin box.
In addition to the coin box and money, Capt. Streapy said, the burglars also stole the Haligan forcible entry tool.
Capt. Streapy said that, “based on the investigation, suspects have been developed” in the string of burglaries.
Capt. Streapy is also investigating two burglaries in the Castleton area.
Sometime between Sept. 2 and Sept. 15, a home on Route 649 was entered through a door. The burglars took stereo equipment, power tools and other items from the house.
Then, sometime between Oct. 23 and Oct. 25, a home on Route 619 was broken into by thieves who forced open the front door to gain entry. Several pieces of stereo equipment were taken from that home. Capt. Streapy recovered the equipment from a pawn shop in Manassas several days later.
