A funeral service was held Nov. 1 at Geest-Johnson Funeral Home, the Rev. H. Vance Mann officiating, with interment in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Virginia Crigler

Virginia Rucker Crigler, 82, of Madison died Nov. 4 at Martha Jefferson Hospital.

She was bom March 1, 1908 in Moneta, Va., to the late Elizabeth Phelps and Dr. Samuel L. Rucker.

Mrs. Crigler was an outstanding member of the Madison United Methodist Church and served as church treasurer for 16 years among the many other offices she held through the years.

Mrs. Crigler was a member of the United Methodist Women serving as past president. For many years she was superintendent of Sunday school.
