Workshop on
herb lotions
A workshop on the preparation of herbal lotions and oils for use on dry winter skin will be held at Blandy Experimental Farm on Tuesday, Nov. 13, from 7 to 9:30 p.m.
The workshop will be led by herbalist Deborah Lee, who will discuss the best types of oils to use and the most suitable herbs for soothing and softening skin. Participants will make an herbal lotion to take home.
Sponsored by the Friends of the State Arboretum, the workshop fee, which includes the oils and herbs, is $15 for members and $18 for nonmembers. Participants are asked to bring a jar of about a pint in volume to contain the lotion they make.
Blandy Farm is located in Clarke County on U.S. 60 east of its intersection with U.S. 340 and west of the Shenandoah River.
