SHARE holds delivery day

September Delivery Day for SHARE is 10 a.m.-11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Washington Baptist Church. All participants should pick up their groceries at that time.

A donation of not more than $1 will be appreciated on Delivery Day to defer the cost of gas for the two men who drive each month to pick up the groceries.

Participants should also bring theii community service vouchers and $13 ii cash or food stamps to sign up for October.

The SHARE Steering Committee meets 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1 in the Washington Baptist Church.

Literacy marks birthday

Literacy Volunteers of America, Rappahannock chapter, will holds its first-ever annual meeting at 10 a.m. Sept. 28 in the Rappahannock Courthouse.

The meeting marks the group's firs anniversary. 1

Topics include a review of the pasl year, election of directors, presentation of the first operating budget and a talk by David Smith, Rappahannock Elementary principal.

Dues are $5 and members may sign up at the meeting.
