John Warner hosted Secretary of Commerce Robert A. Mosbacher, a score of local candidates and more than 2,000 people for the annual Republican gathering at his farm recently.
The afternoon barbecue, auction and rally was the fifteenth held by Sen. Warner at his Fauquier County estate.
Sec. Mosbacher gave the keynote speech, defending President George Bush’s domestic policy and calling for energetic race for Republican congressional seats. Sec. Mosbacher praised Warner, calling him one of the country’s “great assets.”
“I wish we could clone him,” he said, endorsing Sen.
