“Rappahannock Perspectives: County Mills” will be the topic of the next program in the library’s First Friday lecture series, 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4.
Howdy Holschuh, vice president of the Rappahannock Historical Society, will speak about the mills, of which many parts can still be seen. Cindy Mahan and Helen and Howdy Holschuh will put on a slide presentation on county mills. He will discuss parts of mills and how they work, as well as their historical locations and uses.
Ross Hale, who has a mill on his property, will talk about the research he undertook to discover the history of his mill.
