Paid hourly, she uses the double entry bookkeeping system.
“It’s all on the computer,” she said with a wave of her hand to indicate her office companions, adding in earlier days, bookkeep- ' ing was done on ledgers.
Today, the advanced com- ■ puter programs put entries in their correct place and automat- * ically balance debits and credits.
“I started with one com- 1 puter,” she said, adding that recently she has “upgraded to a ' bigger, better, faster system.”
Adding “payroll” to her list of ' services, Ms. Coit is expanding ^ her small Rappahannock busi- *’ ness.
“I do not give financial advice * or do tax preparation,” she " added.
