Camp Fantastic in Front Royal with children who are cancer victims. This piece was donated to the 4-H Educational Center in Front Royal and has been loaned for the show.
The third piece created by Ms. Morris and pre-teens and teens was a product of Ms. Morris work with Youth Experiencing Success (YES), a 4-H camp.
Also on exhibit are several pieces created by children with gallery member and artist Laurie Marshall during her artist-in-residence at Rappahannock Elementary School.' The shows runs through Oct. 28.
Her next show, following the October exhibition in Washington, Va., will be at the National Wildlife Federation in 1992.
The Middle Street Gallery is open from 11 a.m.-6 p.m., FridaySunday.
This weekend marks the last chance to see Middle Street Gallery founder Dan Lewis’ show of new works.
The exhibit features new work executed in oils based on the theme of Rappahannock County landscapes. Many of them were painted on location.
Mr. Lewis, a county resident, left a commercial art career in D.C. in the mid-’70s and began painting with a more serious eye. He has exhibited in numerous shows in the Northern Virginia area in the past 16 years. This, his first solo show, also includes some watercolors.
His show ends Sept. 29.
