The three candidates for election to state office who appeared at the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection Candidates’ Forum Saturday substantially agreed to support. the continuation of land use taxation and oppose the Western Bypass.
Jerry Wood and Robert Darby, Democratic and Republican candidates for the 31st House of Delegates District, and Margaret Haynes, Democratic Party candidate for the 26th State Senate District, also agreed that the absent incumbent 26th District Sen. Kevin Miller’s bill to require that double-wide mobile homes be allowed in agricultural zones was a bad idea. t
Mr. Wood and Mr. Darby disagreed about who should be elected from the 31st House<j)istrict, and presumably Sen. Miller would have disagreed with Ms. Haynes about who should be elected from the 26th Senate District if he had been at the forum.
