First-grade teacher Patty Shaw said the smaller class-size has “turned out beautifully. . . .It’s been fantastic for the students.”
Some of the curriculum has been combined with the kindergarten, she said, allowing younger students certified physical education classes for the first time.
“There’s a lot of one-to-one attention,” said Mrs. Shaw, adding that the “spirit at the school has been fantastic.”
She is impressed with the new teachers on the staff, she said. “I am just absolutely amazed at what has come about in such a short period of time. We’ve been able to fill voids with such wonderful teachers.”
