George William Pullen Jr., 35, of Amissville, was charged with reckless driving by Trooper G.C. Little after an accident at 1:30 a.m. Sept. 21 on U.S. 522, fourtenths of a mile south of Route 662, according to Sgt. D.S. Adams of the State Police.

He was operating a 1989 Dodge pickup south on U.S. 522 when he ran off the right side, lost control, crossed back across the highway and struck a tree, said Sgt. Adams. Mr. Pullen sustained minor injuries but the pickup was destroyed.

According to Rappahannock Sheriff John H. Woodward, Mr. Pullen was due in jail at 6 p.m. Sept. 20 to spend the weekend
