The Castleton Community Volunteer Fire Company will be having an auction on Nov. 15. Donated items may be dropped off at the fire house on Saturdays or call 937-3076, 937-6051 or 937-5614 for pickups.
Woman's Club to meet
The Rappahannock Woman’s Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at the home of Mrs. Toni Updike near Washington. All members are urged to attend.
Republican rally
The Rappahannock Republican committee would like to invite all county residents to attend a rally from 2-5 p.m. on Oct. 5 at the fire hall in Washington, Va. The purpose of the meeting is to meet Republican candidates for U.S. House of Representatives, Virginia State senate for the 25th and 26th District and the 31st House of Delegate District. PTO picnic, conference
The Rappahannock Elementary School Parents and Teachers Organization (PTO) is having its “fall picnic and conference” from noon until 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5. Please bring your own picnic lunch, beverages and baked goods will be on sale. “Come get acquainted with other parents and get involved with your school.” said a spokesman. Settle reunion
The annual Settle reunion will be held beginning at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29 at the Rappahannock Park in Washington. Everyone is asked to bring a covered dish. Relatives and friends of the Settle family are invited to attend.
