Call for cast
of 'Shepherd'
There is a call to people in Rappahannock and surrounding communities who would like to participate as actors, singers and instrumentalists in a traditional Nativity pageant play called “The Shepherd’s Play.”
The play, which dates from the 15th century and was traditionally performed by farmers and their families, will be presented on Dec. 7 and 8 as part of the annual Colonial Christmas Celebration held in Washington, Va.
All community members, 15 years and older, are encouraged to come to auditions. Auditions will be held at the Old Town Hall on Gay Street in Washington, 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29 and 7-9 p.m. on. Monday, Sept. 30.
