Family portraits
Family portraits will be taken on Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Child Care and Learning Center. All proceeds will benefit the 7th grade Rappahannock Elementary Williamsburg class trip. The cost is $10 for an 11 x 14 photo. Packages will be available approximately three weeks after portaits are taken. For appointments call Martha Kidwell or Arthur Neufeld at 987-8259.
Reunion scheduled

Antique show and sale
The first annual Rappahannock County Antique Show and Sale will be held at Rappahannock Elementary Sept. 28 and 29. Hours are from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday and early bird is from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday. Regular admission will be $3.50 and early bird costs $15. There will be quality merchandise, moderate prices and no reproductions and will benefit the Child Care and Learning Center. Interested dealers should contact Charles A. Parliamentary procedure
A workshop on Parliamentary Procedure, sponsored by the Silver Gavels Unit of the Virginia Parliamentary Association, will be given from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 30 at Meadows Presbyterian Church, 2200 Angus Rd. in Charlottesville. The workshop, called “A Day With Robert” features Dr. Oscar Williams, Associate Director of VPI, and Rosemary Sheatsley, Professional Registered Parliamentarian.
The morning session will deal with how to use “Robert’s Rules of Order” and its index. The afternoon session is entitled “Main Motions aren’t Everything,” and include a discussion of amendments.

Shooting match
The Castleton Community Volunteer Fire Department will begin its annual shooting match beginning Oct. 5 and continuing each Saturday until Nov. 16 and will run from 1-4 p.m. Only 12 gauge shotguns with no sleeves and no scopes can be used.
