who scored the lone Wakefield CDS goal against Seton, netted two tallies in the RMA win. Sophomore Aram Kalpagian scored twice and sophomore Tobias Durate scored one.

Goalie Oliver Curry had six saves in the RMA victory.

In lower school soccer, the Wakefield CDS sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders lost 3-0 to Linton Hall Oct. 23, but the game was closer than the score would reflect.

The fifth- and sixth-graders turned the tables in a rematch Oct. 28, beating Linton Hall 6-2 behind four goals by Tim Burke and one each by Patrick Mulligan and Andrew Inglis. Andrew Nilan and Landon Hutt split time in goal for Wakefield CDS.

In an application filed Oct. 18 with the Virginia State Corporation Commission, The Potomac Edison Company requested an increase in its Virginia fuel rate which will raise the average residential customer’s bill 1.3 percent.
